simply being Massage Therapy is founded on the belief that the client's needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, the majority of my business is from repeat clientele and referrals.

My massage training includes over 900 certified hours, through both the Green Mountain Institute in Bennington, VT and the Wellness Massage Center and Institute in St. Albans, VT.  I have performed hundreds of therapeutic and relaxation massages over the past three years.

Before switching over completely to a private practice, I was the chiropractic assistant and massage therapist for Dr. Pike of Chittenden County Chiropractic.  During this time, my hands on massage involved deep tissue, pain relief, and preparation for chiropractic treatment.  These two modalities complement each other and together provide relief and comfort for patients. We share many clients, and my office is located in his building.

I receive regular bodywork myself, as well as continue my education to maintain a fresh outlook and approach. Currently I am studying Bowenwork, a gentle, non-invasive technique that has had incredible effect for many ailments across the world, but is new to the Burlington area.  This modality has a profound effect on the body's innate healing ability, and has had a dramatic impact on my own health and well-being.  See the Bowenwork page for more detail.

Trained in the following modalities:

  • Swedish/Relaxation Massage
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Release Techniques
  • Thai/Shiatsu
  • Reiki Level I
  • Chinese Cupping Therapy

What To Expect From Your Session
Each session is tailored specifically to your needs, comfort level, and pressure preference. It is important to feel at ease in order to allow the relaxation and healing to take place.   The client therapist relationship is extremely important, and communication is key.  The following are things to expect coming in for either a massage or Bowenwork session:

  • Comfortable massage table (with heat available) and full draping with clean flannel sheets.
  • Your choice of organic oil or cream, unscented or with pure essential oil synergy from Lunaroma.
  • Soft music or white noise for privacy.
  • Your own time.  There is no need for idle talk during your massage or Bowenwork session.  I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.

Massage therapy and Bowenwork provides relaxation, pain relief, promotes wellness, releases tension, calms the nervous system, and benefits every system of the body.

Finding the right fit with a therapist is important.  I work with you to determine the most appropriate approach for your well-being.  I would be happy to make recommendations of other professionals if need be.

This is your time to relax, rejuvenate, and revive your body, mind, and spirit.

I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
